Update to the Pathology Report

Hi gang-

Each day comes with ups and downs, good news, not so good news. Today the doctors found a lesion on the liver and some potential infection in the body. They took X-Ray to look at the lungs for infection, and ordered a CT scan and ultra sound to look at the liver. These tests have delayed the chemo treatment, as they will need to revisit the chemo "cocktail" with this new information. They may need to rethink a few things, and delay the chemo until tomorrow.

Rene is feeling tired and looks pretty sad today, so she is dozing most of the time. My Dad is sitting by making sure that she has water, and her cousin Nancy brought her a tasty guava cake (she ate half!). Thanks Nancy!

Keep those prayers coming!

  1. Jesus' friends were naturally concerned when he spoke of leaving them. His words of calm and comfort were these: Peace I leave with you...

In our quiet and peace-filled moments, we can feel God with us, steadily working healing and grace with us. This is my prayer for you today, Rene. Take a listen (if the technology allows!) to this song with these very words--Peace I Leave

And for others...listen yourself and join your prayers with Rene and Chris.

    Much love,
    Kathleen

  2. Rene - This the prayer my family will be saying for you.

Lord, look upon Rene with eyes of mercy, may your healing hand rest upon her, may your life giving powers flow into every cell of her body and into the depths of her soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring her to wholeness and strength. Amen
    Stay Strong!

    Yours in Christ,
    Anna Quinones and family.

  6. Dear Rene,
I have been sending an immense amount of positive energy to you and your family every day, and will continue to do so. I am so happy to have this blog to stay updated with your progress. I am sorry I wasn't able to see you when I was there, but I can completely understand how tired you must be.

You have always been such an amazing role model and mentor to me throughout my life, especially the most important, and most difficult, first 20 years!haha! Your phenomenal strength, optimism, positive outlook on life and the selfless and accepting way you approach your relationships played an incredible role in shaping the woman that I am today. God blessed you with these traits that are going to get you and your family through this! Rest up and fight this thing with everything you've got!

I love you so much and will shower you and your family with as much positive prayer as I can humanly muster! I am behind you 110% - the same way you always supported me!
    Love, LeLeBug
